Privacy Policy

The short version

You can browse PerkDay without creating an account. PerkDay does not collect loyalty passwords, payment-card information, or location history.

Information stored on your device

PerkDay uses local app storage for functionality such as:

• saved, favorite, hidden, and claimed deal identifiers;
• birthday, membership, restaurant-app, appearance, and reminder preferences;
• a cached copy of public deal information for offline use;
• an optional manual city or ZIP location, stored without location history; and
• pending deal submissions or reports until they can be sent.

This local information can be removed using PerkDay’s reset controls or by deleting the app.

Location

Location is optional. If you allow device location, it is used in memory to rank nearby restaurants, display maps, and provide directions. PerkDay does not maintain a history of where you have been. Apple may process map, geocoding, or directions requests under its own policies.

Submissions and reports

If you submit a deal, evidence image, or problem report, the content is queued locally and may be sent to Apple CloudKit for moderation. Apple may associate public-database writes with your iCloud account. Evidence is never automatically published as a canonical deal.

Notifications and purchases

Reminders are local notifications scheduled only after you request them. Apple StoreKit processes the optional “Remove Ads Forever” purchase. PerkDay stores only a local entitlement cache; Apple remains authoritative for transactions and refunds.

Advertising

The free version may show contextual Google AdMob banners after required consent handling. PerkDay does not request App Tracking Transparency permission and does not depend on IDFA. Non-personalized ads can still use operational identifiers for functions such as delivery, fraud prevention, frequency control, and reporting under Google’s policies.

Sharing, retention, and deletion

PerkDay does not sell personal information. Information is transmitted only as needed for Apple services, Google advertising and consent services, or actions you initiate. Local data remains until reset or app deletion. Moderation records may be retained to investigate accuracy, abuse, or legal requests. See Data Management for available requests.
